As a seasoned pitmaster with over 50 years of experience in the art of barbecue, I’m thrilled to share my passion with you through this website. My name is Frank, and I’ve been cooking up a storm since 1970, perfecting my craft and learning what makes a truly exceptional barbecue grill.

Growing up, I was always fascinated by the smoky flavors and tender textures that only a well-cooked barbecue could provide. My journey began in the early 1970s, when I first started experimenting with different grilling techniques and recipes. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of participating in numerous cook-offs, where I’ve honed my skills and learned from some of the best pitmasters in the business.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of grills, from gas and electric to charcoal and pellet. While each type has its own unique advantages and disadvantages, I’ve always been drawn to the rich, smoky flavors that charcoal and pellet grills provide. There’s something special about the way the wood smoke infuses into the meat, creating a depth of flavor that’s hard to replicate with other types of grills.

As a result, you’ll find that many of the grills I review on this site are charcoal and pellet models. I believe that these types of grills offer the best combination of flavor, versatility, and value, and I’m excited to share my expertise with you.
